Four young agricultural engineers are set to add their expertise to the Rural, Environment and Agricultural Development Department in the North West as part of a drive to improve and strengthen agricultural engineering services in the province.
The appointment comes after MEC Desbo Mohono promised farmers and people in the province that she would do everything possible to bring much needed skills to the department in order to improve services.
“The newly appointed engineers will work directly with the contractors in the project that will be implemented by the department,” Mohono explained
According to Mohono the engineers, whose area of expertise is concerned with the design, construction and improvement of farming equipment and machinery, started working in the department in towards the end of January.
